National & European Indoor League

A new CCC competition for 2026 — helping clubs develop membership and generate revenue across the off-season.

Overview

• CCC are launching a new National & European Indoor League competition in 2026.
• The focus is enabling clubs to develop membership and generate revenue across the off-season.

Leagues

• A choice of 5 leagues — male, female, colts, seniors, corporate and mixed-ability.
• Two levels: League and Village.
• Higher-level League sides would join after the initial few rounds.
• Clubs decide which of the 5 competitions they wish to enter.

League Format

• Stage 1 — Regional Stage (includes sponsored international matches)
• Stage 2 — National Stage (includes sponsored international matches)
• Finals — Lord's

Venues

• Where clubs do not have their own indoor facility, they should hire a local facility (county, council or school).
• The cost of the hire is borne by the home side's club.

Officials

• Umpire — clubs choose between a digital independent umpire solution or a club umpire.
• Scorer is provided by the home side.

Finals day

• Independent on-site umpires provided.
• Digital umpiring solution.
• Independent scorers provided (if club scorers are unable to attend).

Club Benefits

• Attract new club members.
• Benefit from an off-season revenue stream.
• Key to achieving the benefits is filming the game, so highlights can be posted on social media, websites and in the clubhouse.
• Clubs are likely to host a post-game event (showing match highlights in the clubhouse), creating a further revenue stream.

Authorisation

• The League would be a CCC competition.
• CCC is keen for the League to be authorised by both the counties and the ECB.

Cost

• Entry fee is £100 per team (to be confirmed).

Timeline

• League details and Competition Rules & Playing Conditions will be detailed later this season.
• 2026 — starts in Oct/Nov with finals in March.
• 2027 — starts in September with finals in March.
