Match Report by CCC Match Manager, David Goldsmith (CCC Life Vice-President, Gidea Park CC)
" The CCC chose to bowl and all the bowlers did well. A mix of pace and leg spin (two) stuck to their task even with the big hitter.
What really impressed me was the overall quality of the fielding and fitness of the team.
The Keeper, Michael Turner - good hands, good movement and the best I have seen in a long while.
Captaincy – Concise and good field placement (in a couple of surrounding gardens would have been beneficial)
Baber Choudhary and Cole Campbell were extremely good with Choudhary hitting the gaps constantly. This kept the CCC up with the clock throughout the run chase.
The two wickets that did fall, the batsmen looked more that capable until their exit."
And David Goldsmith's 'thankyou'
"Hospitality – First class and a credit to a professionally run cricket club.
Ground – Very good with good facilities and a good wicket
Lunch – quality with as much as you wanted
They organised a VP lunch which increased the crowd to watch some fine cricket.
The Opposition – Some good overseas players in their side especially the big hitting Kasim Alleyaine from Barbados"
