3 Rivers - 167 for 8 wkts (41.1 overs)

Both teams turned up on a bright sunny day with the Three Rivers & Watford Cricket Development team looking to reverse the result of this fixture last year.

Min Patel captaining the CCC U-21's side, lost the toss and was asked to bat first on a slightly damp and slow wicket. The Three Rivers & Watford CDG opening bowlers bowled a fairly tight and consistent line and were duly rewarded when both the CCC U-21's openers were out fairly cheaply. M McDonald (2-24) and the very impressive A Kulkarni (2-22) did the early damage. H Khan (32) with the help of T Cullen (20), and then late on M Patel (43) & F Wilson (26*) set a challenging total. V Patel was not able to take part in the game due to a finger injury sustained whilst warming up before the start of play.

The Three Rivers & Watford CDG innings got off to a very similar start to that of the CCC U21's with both their openers out early without disturbing the scorers too much. P Vyas (25) and then N Laws (65) with a captains innings went about building a very useful partnership, A Kulkarni (32) rounded of a man of the match performance. The CCC U-21's managed briefly to get themselves back into the game with G G Singh (3-21) and M Patel (2-17), however with some exceptionally poor spin bowling at a crucial part of the game the Three Rivers & Watford CDG team managed to get home.

With both teams now on one victory each they no doubt are looking forward to next years contest.
