Game 2: CCC: 88 all out (18 overs). Italy: 182 for 4 wkts [CCC bowl 20 overs to give Italy practice]

Both teams gathered nice and early at the picturesque Weybridge CC ground ready to play in their coloured clothing in the shorter white ball format of the game. With Italy having just arrived to take part in the ICC Europe 20/20 competition, and with the CCC tour to Milan in September 2013 this was an ideal match for both sides going forward.
Joe Ellis Grewal the CCC captain won the toss and elected to bowl first on a hard dry pitch. The Italian openers Marage and Northcote got of to reasonably good start putting on 39 for the 1st wicket which was helped by some wayward bowling , however with the introduction of Ed Wharton who varied his pace to remove both openers with the score moving onto 41- 2. Petricola the number 3 then steadied the innings with a well constructed 29 and with the help of Bonara who made a flourishing 25 the Italian innings finished on 143 - 5. The pick of the CCC bowlers were Ellis-Grewal 2-20, Wharton 2-27 and Sikandar 1-27.

Tim Handel got the CCC innings of to a flying start, however with the score on 22 the CCC lost both of their openers to Munasinghe. This bought Waqas Hussain who wasted no time in making a quick fire 72 of just 47 balls which included five 4's and three 6's and with the support of Ali and Elech the CCC reached the required total by the 19th over. Munasinghe 2-23 and Sandri 2-24 were the pick of the Italian bowlers.

Overall a very competitive game played to a high standard which both sides found very useful for future preparations.
