CCC won the toss, & elected to bat.
CCC: 216 for 7 wkts (45 overs) Eddie Ballard 61, Waqas Hussain 57*.
Barbados Police: 116 all out (33.2 overs) Ed Wharton 5/7, Jamie Southgate 3/33.
After 3 consequtive defeats, this win was needed. A decent 42 run opening partnership of 42 was followed by a 3rd wicket stand between Eddie Ballard & Michael Payne of 78. Waqas Hussain ensured that the advantage was not thrown away by dominating the last 13 overs, scoring 57 of the 83 runs.
Ed Wharton 'blew-away' Police batters nos. 2 to 4 with a wicket maiden in his 2nd over, then 2 double-wicket maiden in his 3rd over (followed by another maiden over). Jamie Southgate & Adam Riley each then completed their 9 over spells, maintaining the strangle-hold ; 89 for 8 after 27 overs. We then had the 'pleasure' of a Sam Burge over, before Ed was re-introduced to wrap-up proceedings with those 2 remaining wickets in 2 deliveries.
