CCC won by 90 runs

This was the 4th match in 5 days that the CCC had organised for the Tanzanian National team prior to their ICC Division 5 tournament in Jersey.

A dominate left-handed opening partnership between debutant Ed Kilbee, and Saurav Prabhakar, of 194 in 30 overs, was the mainstay of the CCC innings. With Waqas Hussain smashing 90 runs from 47 deliveries, Tanzania were under pressure throughout the game.
Ed Wharton found extra pace & bounce in his opening spell for the CCC; rewarded with the first 2 wickets. A 78 run / 70 ball partnership between Nassoro and Jasani looked like a re-build, but after that was broken by Lesbourne Edwards, 5 consecutive wickets to leg-spinner Tanvir Hasan (called into the team the previous day for his CCC Rep team debut) between 147 and 176 ended any thought of that. Tanvir was fortunate to have a experienced / quality off-spinner, his captain Bilat Butt, bowling at the other end (40 runs from his 10 overs). Nos. 9 (Pattwa, 46) and 10 (Dugar, 38) brought respectability (& some entertainment) to the Tanzania effort.
CCC's failure to knock-off the tail resulted in 12 penalty runs due to their slow over rate (an indiscipline that this correspondent detests).
