CCC - 218 for 9 wkts (50 overs) Ed Kilbee 51
Kent - 220 for 4 wkts (29.2 overs) Sean Dickson 63, Adam Rouse 70*
Charlie Hartley broke a handy second-wicket stand of 67 between Eddie Ballard (48) and Saurav Prabhakar, after Hugh Bernard struck with the new ball in the fifth over. The CCC innings faltered after Prabhakar (42) was third out at 135 (31 overs). None of the remaining batsmen could stay & build a partnership with Ed Kilbee. Leg-spinner Jan Gray, 17, excelled on his Kent 2nd XI debut - picking up three scalps thanks to a couple of excellent catches by skipper Adam Ball and another from Bernard. Hartley returned to take two more wickets as the Conference middle order failed to capitalise on the strong start.
In reply, Kent lost opener Gerry Fatouros, bowled by Abhishek Kulkarni in the sixth over before partner Adam Ball scored 44 off 38 balls including seven boundaries.
Sean Dickson and Adam Rouse shared a match winning stand of 114 off 87 balls.
