Match report by Mark Stear
CCC opener Finnan Bryan 49 and No 3 Muhammad Hassan Hameed 80 both played exceptionally well on a turning pitch. Raheem Sher 23 supported Hameed well in the middle overs. The CCC lost late wickets when 230 should have been achievable with sensible batting. 218 all out final ball. Army bowlers Gabriel, Clark and Dearden all took 3wkts each.
The Army responded but struggled against the medium paced wicket to wicket bowling by Paul Stephens 4-36 off 10 overs. The spin bowling by Muhammad Hameed 10ov 0-33 was decent but the introduction of Finnan Bryan 8ov 4-33 and an excellent run out by Charlie Moore of Jonathan Boynton 37 changed the game. 181-9 looked likely to be a CCC victory. However Dearden 19 and No 11 Benson 15no batted sensibly, for 2 to win off the last ball. However a fine throw from Charlie Moore for a run out resulted a Tie. Good game.
