East Molesey CC was the venue for a fund raising day for the proposed CCC tour to South Africa October 2026.
Parveiz Aslam (CCC Chair), and Sam Burge the Chairman of East Molesey CC drove the event, and the Lashings side comprising of ex Internationals batted first after the fund raising lunch which 200 attended.
Owais Shah 42 opened with Kirk Edwards. Mohammed Ashraful 25 was dismissed by CCC captain, Bilal Butt 3ov 1-8. Nicky Boje 19 was one of Aashir Zaid’s 3wkts-14. Ed Wharton and Nouman Aslam the other wicket takers. Mark Ramprakash batting at No9 scored 4no. Final Lashings T20 total 131-6.

CCC replied with openers Ed Wharton 34no and Dan Roberts 30no retiring.
Both batted really well and struck the ball cleanly. Tiam Afshar 22 was dismissed by Yasir Arafat.
Zack Fagg 19no and Aashir Zaid 14no (brother of Northants, Saif Zaid) both played well and the CCC batsmen faced the bowling of Vasbert Drakes, Anya Shrubsole, Yasir Arafat, Mohammed Ashtabula, John Emburey, Nicky Boje and the legendary Courtney Walsh. CCC 134-1 won the game after 14.3ov.
The day was a great one for everyone involved.
