A South Hampstead CC X1 hosted the CCC President's X1 on Thursday 21st August, on which proved to be a good day.
A 40 over match was played in competitive style with the CCC batting first.
Acton CC's R Khandke 8 and H Yousafzai 8 were out early and U Kiani 28 and A Ginai 65 run out progressed the score in good time. East Molesey CC's Tiam Afshar (wkt) 28 hit a soft catch back to the bowler, and Ashish Padki slogged to cow shot corner after batting sensibly. Wickets fell quickly and No9 Noel Harvey hit 14 before being bowled by George Garrett 6.4ov 2-25. Absar Muhammad 3-34 of 6ov.
Final CCC Total 208 all out of 37.4 in overs. 30 runs below par.
South Hampstead CC replied after a magnificent tea supplied by the South Hampstead tea ladies. Something that is missed at a lot of recreational cricket nowadays sadly.
G Burt 14, A Muhammad 23 aided by some short and wide bowling progressed the score. Akshay Padki 2-44 off 6.4ov and brother Ashish Padki 1-33 off 7ov.
Tauqeer Ahmed 60no and George Garrett 70no guesting for S Hampstead's President X1 played very well together in a partnership of 141 to win the game comfortably.
Total 209-4 off 33.4ov.
