Today, my words were included in the Daily Telegraph, commenting on the importance and progressive benefits of The Hundred, and what it really means for cricket, over and above the small-minded furore over new and inclusive terminology within the game.
It has long been perceived as a refined sport, almost bordering on snobbishness. This is the effect of past political and economic movements here in the UK, which left schools with no playing field space in which to help grow the game any further beyond parental influence in back gardens up and down the country.
