Bear in the Air Productions are an Off West End Award Nominated theatre company we tour the UK performing classic plays on cricket grounds. This year we are hoping to reach 40 clubs across the south of England, with 15 cricket clubs already confirmed. This idea was born at Henley Cricket Club, where I am a member, as a fund-raising idea and we have grown to help as many clubs as we can. We offer a percentage of ticket sales to each club we visit and ask for no proceeds from the bar or any other activities they wish to run along side the show (BBQs, competitions, etc). This year we are performing Much Ado About Nothing and have found that this event not only raises money for the clubs but brings new people to the grounds and offers a great social event for the local community.

We sell all tickets on our own website (www.muchadotour.co.uk), provide all promotional materials and a full 2 hour long show. We don’t use any staging, to protect the grounds and ask audiences to bring picnic rugs or fold up chairs. I have included a picture of our visit to Banbury Cricket Club to give you more of an idea of what the shows look like.

We are very excited to be partnering with the Club Cricket Charity, donating a percentage of all ticket sales to them, to help them with their important work.
