I would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year and I wish for it to be filled with success, prosperity, and many memorable moments on and off the cricket field!
I hope this letter finds you all in good health and high spirits. It is with great pleasure and a sense of deep privilege that I write to you as the new Chair of the Club Cricket Conference. I am honored to have been entrusted with this esteemed position and am excited about the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.
First and foremost, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to each one of you for your attendance at The Club Cricket Conference Annual Lunch 2023, held on the 27th of November at The Nursery Pavilion, Lords Ground in London. I want to take a moment to pay tribute to the late Simon Prodger, whose contributions to the Club Cricket Conference and the cricketing community as a whole were truly remarkable. His legacy will undoubtedly continue to inspire us all, and we are grateful for the indelible mark he left on the world of cricket.
Stepping into the shoes of Robbie Book is both an honour and a responsibility that I do not take lightly. Robbies dedication and leadership have been instrumental and I am fortunate to have his guidance during this transition. The support and encouragement I have received from the Board and each of you since assuming the role of Chair have been immensely uplifting and I am grateful for the sense of camaraderie within our community.
Looking ahead, I am excited about the upcoming cricket season and the events we have planned. The Club Cricket Conference Board is committed to making the season as eventful and enjoyable as possible and I am eager to share these experiences with each one of you.
