A Brief History
The Caribbean Club Cup Competition was conceived in 2004 with the aim of West Indian teams based in London playing together and further advancing the cause of West Indian cricket, with three teams participating – Barking, Dagenham and Bow Rovers.
At the end of the season in 2004, invitations were sent to other West Indian teams to take part in the Competition and, in 2005, 15 teams took part, increasing to sixteen (16) in the 2006 season.
The current position
The Competition has now been running successfully for eleven years, however, there has been a drop in the number of clubs taking part, with only 8 participating in 2014. We are now looking for more teams for the coming season.
The Competition is run as Round Robin for the 1st phase, then a straight Knockout in later rounds. If you are interested, then, in the first instance please contact Livingstone Ricketts, the Competition Chairman, on 07910 986746, for further information and an application form.
