The Club Cricket Conference has appointed Gulfraz Riaz as interim development manager and takes day-to-day charge of CCC operations and future plans.
The CCC, founded in 1915 and with a membership of 1,000 south east clubs and leagues, is currently working to increase its range of web-based and other services to clubs, to build new partnerships across cricket, and to extend its coverage nationally.
Mr Riaz, 40, is a longstanding member of Watford Town CC, where he is a past club captain and the founder of the junior section, which now puts out 12 teams. Mr Riaz's takes up his position on 13 March. The position is for 12 months while future staffing needs become clear under planned changes.
